Senior Technician - Failure Analysis (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Perform Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIM) analysis for yield, reliability, and manufacturing investigations.
• Prepare samples using mechanical cleaving, polishing, chemical etching, and related techniques.
• Select and optimize tool conditions to capture high-quality analytical data.
• Analyze, document, and report results with guidance from engineers and senior laboratory staff.
• Collaborate with failure analysis engineers on investigation strategies and sample preparation.
• Maintain analytical tools and support safe operation of laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in engineering, physics, materials science, electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent military technical training.
• 2–4 years of relevant technical laboratory or manufacturing experience.
• Fluency in written and verbal English is required.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and ability to learn complex technical equipment.
• Familiarity with sample preparation and exposure to failure analysis, materials characterization, or process troubleshooting.
• Experience documenting and reporting technical data.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, materials science, electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Experience with SIM tools or other thin film analytical techniques.
• Experience in a semiconductor fab, cleanroom, or technical laboratory environment.
