Systems Engineer (Web3)

Location: Remote, Palo Alto, CA; 4-hour daily overlap with Pacific Time; 60-hour work week

What you will do

• Develop a blockchain focused on security, scalability, and decentralization.
• Operate a network of 1,000 nodes and manage infrastructure supporting $500M in assets.
• Optimize systems for 100M requests per second within a $250K monthly operational cost.
• Prototype and apply systems research while debugging and profiling low-level code.
• Coordinate asynchronously with engineers working in an open development environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, specializing in kernels, data structures, or compilers.
• 5–10 years of professional experience.
• At least 1 year of startup experience.
• Ability to work a 60-hour week with 4 hours of daily overlap with Pacific Time.
• Exceptional communication and people skills.
• Remote role based in Palo Alto, California.
