Distributed Systems Engineer (Blockchain)

What you will do

• Design and implement distributed systems components for a heterogeneous compute network.
• Develop and optimize peer-to-peer networking protocols for AI model execution and blockchain consensus.
• Build infrastructure for node monitoring, metrics collection, and system observability.
• Architect efficient state management and synchronization across specialized nodes.
• Collaborate with research specialists on novel distributed systems algorithms.
• Create robust testing frameworks for distributed system components.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Go and/or Rust, with experience building production-grade distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of peer-to-peer systems, networking, messaging protocols, blockchain nodes, node architecture, and consensus mechanisms.
• Experience optimizing high-throughput systems and building fault-tolerant, high-performance distributed applications.
• Advanced Linux, command-line, system administration, infrastructure orchestration, and Kubernetes skills.
• Strong command of monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Excellent system design, debugging, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and self-direction skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI/ML systems and distributed computing requirements.
• Knowledge of cryptography and secure systems design.
• Contributions to open-source distributed systems projects.
