Staff DevOps Engineer (Linux)

Location: Hybrid role based at hirify.global’s headquarters in Palo Alto, California, with regular in-person touchpoints and shared office space.

Salary: $195,000–$220,000 annual base salary in California, plus potential equity, bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage infrastructure across company data centers and AWS cloud environments.
• Build and automate deployments, configuration management, and fleet management using infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Operate and improve Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and backend service infrastructure.
• Support machine-learning modules exposed through REST APIs and React-based applications.
• Improve monitoring, observability, availability, performance metrics, and system testing.
• Collaborate with DevOps, platform, data science, security, and product teams on major infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional industry experience.
• Strong development experience with Python or Go.
• Professional Linux administration experience, preferably with Ubuntu package management.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, network security, host security, and application security across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience with fleet management, release engineering tools such as Maven and Jenkins, and Apache Airflow orchestration.
• Strong communication, presentation, troubleshooting, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
