Staff DevOps Engineer (Multi-Cloud)

Location: Hybrid in San Diego, California, United States; on-site work from an hirify.global office is required.

Salary: $167,200–$250,750 annual base salary, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, architect, and scale CI/CD pipelines across the full application deployment lifecycle.
• Design and maintain software development infrastructure, configuration management plans, and application lifecycle management tooling.
• Automate SCM workflows, end-to-end pipelines, DevSecOps controls, compliance-as-code, and deployment processes.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code and multi-cloud expertise across cloud-native microservices and Android/iOS applications.
• Improve developer experience, productivity insights, quality, test automation, and SDLC efficiency by evaluating and deploying engineering tools.
• Provide DevOps coaching and troubleshoot, test, and fix code and deployment issues on Linux and Windows.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience deploying and configuring DevOps, CI/CD, software configuration management, build, and ALM tools.
• Extensive cloud development and management experience with AWS and Azure DevOps, including networking, security, IAM, storage, S3, and WAF.
• Strong proficiency in Docker, Git/GitHub, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform, AWS, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes.
• Experience writing automation with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Perl, C/C++, JavaScript, YAML, or JSON.
• Experience integrating security practices, testing, and quality controls throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, Agile, and DevOps skills; ability to work with minimal ramp-up time.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience with Terraform and CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
• Production test automation, Linux and macOS command-line environments, system administration, code reuse, and defect remediation.
• Experience coaching engineers or creating DevOps Dojos.
