Senior Buyer - Tooling and Capital Equipment (Aerospace)

Location: South Burlington, Vermont, United States; 20%+ travel required

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Source and fulfill orders for capital equipment and tooling supporting aircraft and manufactured parts.
• Generate Statements of Work and lead Request for Proposal packages and source selection.
• Prepare purchase orders and bid requests while maintaining accurate order data.
• Manage supplier cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Act as the commercial authority and liaison between suppliers, engineering, supply chain, and other internal stakeholders.
• Schedule and lead program review meetings and prepare formal supply chain communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or supply chain, or equivalent work experience.
• 5–7 years of procurement experience managing high-value or complex aerospace projects.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Plex, Oracle, SAP, or Epicor.
• Strong analytical, multitasking, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Slack, 3DX, Grafana, or Tableau, including presentation materials and datasets.
• Commitment to safety through quality in design, software development, and manufacturing.

Nice to have

• PMP certification or other project management experience.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace certification requirements.
