Buyer (Aerospace)

Location: Torrance, California, with a planned move to Hawthorne, California in the summer. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents, including Green Card or EAD holders.

Salary: $60,000–$80,000 base salary plus equity.

What you will do

• Issue purchase orders and collect supplier quotes.
• Track open orders, lead times, and material availability for hardware programs.
• Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, inventory, and purchasing data.
• Build Excel reports to support purchasing and planning decisions.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, finance, operations, and suppliers.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, operations, data analysis, or a similar field.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, lookups, data cleanup, and reporting.
• High attention to detail, strong follow-through, and effective communication skills.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced hardware startup environment.
• U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency, including Green Card or EAD status, is required.

Nice to have

• Technical or engineering background.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or Epicor.
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, hardware, or complex product environments.
• Familiarity with purchase orders, supplier quotes, inventory data, BOMs, PLM systems, AS9100, ITAR, or EAR.
