Strategic Buyer (Aerospace Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Execute daily procurement activities supporting Aerospace & Defense programs.
• Maintain the MRP schedule and manage purchasing activity for an assigned product line.
• Source and onboard CNC, sheet metal, and COTS suppliers.
• Create, monitor, expedite, and close purchase orders while adjusting delivery schedules to production needs.
• Track supplier performance, delivery, and quality metrics; issue forecasts aligned with production demand.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Product, Program Management, and Finance to resolve material and documentation issues and support cost reduction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong data analysis skills, advanced Excel, and proficiency with Sigma Computing, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and sourcing make-to-print components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, operations, accounting, or a related field.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain certification.
• Experience with Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience sourcing across North American and overseas supply bases.
• Mandarin, Spanish, or Thai proficiency, and experience sourcing mechanical assemblies.
