Senior Backend Engineer (AI)

Salary: $200,000–$350,000 per year, plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Build backend infrastructure and real-time systems that power production AI agents.
• Develop data pipelines, analytics services, and systems supporting customer operations.
• Migrate and scale the analytics service with ClickHouse for the next stage of growth.
• Improve hallucination detection systems and drive production accuracy toward zero hallucinations.
• Scale, stabilize, and extend the browser-use agent with new features and improved accuracy.
• Own loosely defined problems end-to-end, make technical decisions, and help set standards for code quality and system design.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building backend systems, preferably in reliability- and scale-focused environments.
• Backend experience with Python, Django or FastAPI, and TypeScript with Node.js.
• Experience with AWS, Modal, Kubernetes, and Postgres.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, explore unfamiliar parts of a codebase, and determine effective solutions.
• Strong focus on clean, reliable code and sound technical decisions.
• Interest in AI agents and the infrastructure challenges of running them in production.
