Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in New York City, with 5 days per week in the office. Relocation support is available for candidates who are not already based in NYC.

Salary: $150,000–$300,000 per year plus equity.

hirify.global is an early-stage AI company building agentic automation and workflow execution infrastructure for enterprise customers across healthcare, finance, legal, logistics, and other industries.

What you will do

• Own systems that automate repetitive work across browsers and desktops, supporting concurrency, reliability, observability, and millions of executions per month.
• Collaborate with the CTO and ML research partners to bring agentic workflows into production.
• Architect and build backend systems for a visual workflow builder used by non-technical operations teams.
• Design services that integrate with hirify.global AI models to generate workflows, provide insights, and drive adaptive execution logic.
• Work across infrastructure, CI/CD, databases, and backend service architecture.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale with strong reliability, observability, and performance standards.
• Proficiency across backend infrastructure, CI/CD, databases, and service architecture.
• Expertise in some or all of TypeScript, Python, Kubernetes, Temporal, Postgres, and DynamoDB.
• Direct experience working on AI systems or ML operations at scale.
• Experience in an early-stage startup and the ability to own execution in ambiguous situations.
• Willingness to work on-site 5 days per week in the New York City office.
