Director, Corporate FP&A (Biotech)

Location: South San Francisco, California, United States; hybrid workplace

Salary: $170,000–$240,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and monthly budget-to-actual reviews.
• Partner with Manufacturing, R&D, Commercial, and G&A leaders on headcount, operating expenses, and capital investments.
• Build financial models for cash flow forecasting, scenario planning, and long-range planning.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, R&D investment priorities, and commercial launch economics.
• Prepare management reports, performance commentary, and Board and investor materials.
• Improve forecasting accuracy, process efficiency, data integrity, and month-end reporting in collaboration with Accounting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant financial and leadership experience, preferably in biotech, pharma, life sciences, or manufacturing.
• Extensive experience with SAP or another ERP solution.
• Experience with Power Query, Python, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, and Tableau.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations and work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
