Senior Product Engineer (React)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work with an onsite interview.

Salary: $157,000–$208,000 for Senior Product Engineer 1, $172,000–$228,000 for Senior Product Engineer 2, or $188,000–$248,000 for Staff Product Engineer 1 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and iterate on a learning management system with seamless UX, adaptive learning, peer engagement, gamification, and motivational mechanisms.
• Develop career services products using generative AI for resume generation and interview training.
• Design and maintain platforms for instructors, teaching assistants, coaches, and operations teams.
• Build content management technology that supports scalable curriculum creation and iteration.
• Develop reliable data pipelines that enable data-driven decisions across the business, learning, and operations teams.
• Own the full development lifecycle and solve complex product and engineering problems in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Professional experience with React and TypeScript on the frontend.
• Familiarity with Python, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails for backend development.
• Ability to take ownership of the full development lifecycle and learn new technologies quickly.
• Interest in building new products at an early-stage company.
• Previous direct-to-consumer startup experience, particularly in EdTech or healthcare, is required.

Hiring process

• 30-minute recruiter interview.
• Technical round lasting approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, including a live full-stack coding exercise and a live coding challenge.
• Technical interview with the hiring manager followed by a 1.5-hour onsite stage.
