Manager, Private Equity - Fund Accounting

Location: Hybrid in Edina, Minnesota, or Dallas, Texas, United States

Salary: $70,000–$140,000 USD per year in Minnesota, plus potential discretionary bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

• Manage professional and clerical staff delivering fund accounting services.
• Oversee accounting and reporting for hedge funds, private equity funds, and other investment products.
• Ensure accurate profit and loss reporting, month-end NAVs, balance sheet reviews, NAV packs, and valuations.
• Review fund accountants’ work and provide technical guidance.
• Lead training, coaching, development, and motivation of team members.
• Respond to portfolio manager, auditor, and Global Fund Services management requests while supporting process improvement projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 2 or more years in financial markets accounting.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, dispute-resolution, organizational, communication, and client-service skills.
• Experience managing, coaching, developing, and motivating team members.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, financial market securities, internal controls, and MS Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a changing, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with hedge fund and private equity accounting.
• Working knowledge of TNR, Investran, Geneva, or Geneva World Investor.
• CMA, CPA, or CFA Level 1.
