Senior Manager, Fund Accounting

Location: On site in Lone Tree, Colorado, United States

Salary: USD $85,500–$150,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Oversee fund accounting activity for proprietary mutual funds, ETFs, and bank collective trust funds.
• Perform end-of-day reviews, validate NAV results, and research variances outside tolerance thresholds.
• Oversee third-party fund accounting service provider deliverables and monitor internal controls.
• Analyze fund distributions and apply accounting policies to complex fund administration issues.
• Prepare management, governance committee, and fund board reporting.
• Identify workflow improvements and support automation initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience.
• At least 7 years of experience administering mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, or collective funds, including fund accounting expertise.
• Experience reviewing NAVs, validating results, researching variances, applying accounting policies, and reviewing internal controls.
• Applicants must be authorized to work full time in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience preparing management, governance, fund board, and ad hoc reporting materials.
• Experience partnering with portfolio management, product management, tax, trade operations, audit, and financial reporting teams.
• Experience communicating accounting policy updates and overseeing third-party service providers.
• Ability to improve workflows, manage deadlines, organize detailed work, and communicate with senior leaders.
