Senior Manager, Consumer AI Devices (AI)

Location: Onsite at 665 Clyde Avenue, Mountain View, California, USA. Domestic and international travel required approximately 15%.

Base pay range: $198,100–$272,500 USD annually, plus annual bonus eligibility and benefits.

hirify.global’s Emerging Technologies Group researches and incubates external technologies that advance Samsung consumer devices and medical equipment, including smartphones, tablets, wearables, PCs, TVs, and appliances.

What you will do

• Research market trends, university publications, startups, and emerging hardware technologies relevant to Samsung’s consumer electronics portfolio.
• Evaluate technologies such as neuromorphic sensors, low-power AI accelerators, advanced MEMS, and metamaterial antennas for product viability.
• Define next-generation consumer device concepts where on-device AI is the core differentiator.
• Bridge chip design, sensor physics, engineering, thermal, power, RF, and business strategy functions to create executable roadmaps.
• Lead rapid prototyping assessments, BOM modeling, risk analysis, proof-of-concept evaluations, and development planning.
• Build relationships with startups, venture capital firms, accelerators, and universities, driving partnership, commercialization, investment, and M&A discussions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, and/or a PhD focused on hardware, sensors, or embedded systems; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 7+ years of experience researching consumer electronics hardware technologies, including semiconductor and sensor innovations.
• 2–3 years of experience transitioning into Technical Product Management or Product Strategy.
• Deep expertise in consumer device architecture, SoC design, RF systems, power management, sensor fusion, on-device AI, AI accelerators, and edge computing constraints.
• Experience leading complex, multi-team, cross-geographic projects and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, prioritization, ambiguity-management, and executive technology-positioning skills, plus an established industry and startup network.
