Senior Staff Technical Product Manager (AI Service Intelligence)

Location: Fremont, California, or remote within the United States; remote work is not available in New York City. Occasional in-person collaboration and travel are required.

Salary: $160,000–$192,500 annual base salary; California base salary range: $176,000–$211,750, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Define the strategy and foundational capabilities for a confidential backend intelligence platform supporting retail and service operations.
• Model operational signals, constraints, dependencies, and policies into automated decision logic and machine-assisted frameworks.
• Lead end-to-end development of a complex platform from 0-to-1 definition through launch and scale.
• Partner with Engineering, Data Analytics, AI/ML, IT, Operations, and Scrum teams on data models, integrations, decision flows, and output generation.
• Define rollout strategies, guardrails, fallback behaviors, manual overrides, monitoring, and operating models for the pre-launch platform.
• Own live decision quality by tuning rules, thresholds, and AI-driven frameworks while addressing edge cases and unintended outcomes.

Requirements

• 12+ years of product management experience focused on technical platforms, complex systems, or decisioning engines.
• Experience with AI/ML technologies and leading 0-to-1 products in pre-launch, startup, or transformation environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, data architectures, real-time processing, rules engines, optimization, and decision frameworks.
• Experience owning backend or platform products where value is delivered through system behavior and decision quality rather than user interfaces.
• Ability to define complex logic and decision flows, evaluate accuracy, speed, explainability, and scalability tradeoffs, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; an AI-related certification is required.
