Location: Remote for candidates based in the United States

What you will do
- Partner with the CEO, board, and audit committee on strategy, resource allocation, turnaround decisions, and capital discipline.
- Own capital markets, investor relations, guidance, earnings announcements, SEC reporting, and the company’s equity story.
- Manage cash, liquidity, capital structure, lenders, and other capital providers.
- Lead financial strategy and analysis for partnerships, M&A, and strategic alternatives.
- Partner with growth and operations on DTC economics, including CAC, payback, contribution margin, cohort retention, and subscription dynamics.
- Build and develop a lean, high-trust, AI-native finance organization while overseeing controls, audits, and SOX compliance.
Requirements
- Experience as a public-company CFO or deputy who is already performing the CFO role.
- Experience with small-cap, microcap, or turnaround environments.
- Ability to lead investor, analyst, lender, and capital-provider discussions, including during challenging periods.
- Experience with M&A, strategic alternatives, cost reduction, liquidity management, and capital allocation.
- Strong understanding of DTC and subscription economics, including cohorts, payback, contribution margin, and retention.
- Must be based in the United States.

- Experience accelerating a company out of a turnaround.
- Retail, CPG, commerce, or marketplace economics background.
- Experience modernizing a finance function with AI tooling.
