Group CFO (Fintech)

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid work with three days per week in-office (Tuesday and Thursday plus one additional day of choice), with the option to request extra remote time.

Salary: Starting from €200,000 gross per annum, with the final package based on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Shape and execute the Group’s long-term financial strategy, capital allocation priorities, profitability frameworks, and value creation initiatives.
• Lead corporate finance activities, including equity fundraising, debt structuring, investor relations, M&A, due diligence, valuation, and IPO or capital markets readiness.
• Oversee consolidated accounts, statutory reporting, financial governance, and data integrity across all entities.
• Lead Group FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, financial modelling, scenario planning, and resource allocation.
• Build and scale the Group Finance organization across FP&A, Financial Control, Group Reporting, Investor Relations, and Finance Business Partnering.
• Oversee the Luxembourg banking subsidiary and coordinate with its CFO and local leadership on regulatory reporting, treasury, and financial controls.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 3 years as a Group CFO, VP of Finance, or Deputy CFO.
• Experience in a technology scale-up, neo-bank, payments company, or fast-paced fintech environment.
• Demonstrated experience with institutional investors, Series funding, IPO, or SPAC frameworks.
• Experience in or alongside regulated financial environments, with strong knowledge of governance and compliance frameworks.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
• Full professional proficiency in English is required. Italian is a plus; CPA, CFA, or equivalent executive-level qualifications are desirable.
