Head of Finance (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid, headquarters office in Heiwajima, Ota-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Working hours are 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, with Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays off.

What you will do

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with growth plans and the IPO roadmap.
• Design balance sheet, asset financing, capital allocation, and capital efficiency strategies for the RaaS business.
• Lead treasury, asset-liability management, cash flow, liquidity planning, and funding structure management.
• Develop and execute equity, debt, structured finance, asset-backed financing, leasing, and project finance initiatives.
• Build relationships with financial institutions, investors, lenders, analysts, and other capital markets stakeholders.
• Oversee investor relations, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, KPI frameworks, board reporting, and financial communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent senior finance leader.
• Strong experience in startup or high-growth environments and deep knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, and financial planning.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Native-level Japanese and near-native English required for independent negotiations, investor communications, and complex discussions.
• Experience in capital raising, company-wide cash management, liquidity optimization, and strategic finance execution.
• Passion for deep-tech, robotics, or hardware-driven businesses, with high agility and adaptability.

Nice to have

• Experience in leasing, infrastructure, RaaS, or other balance-sheet-intensive businesses.
• Debt financing, structured finance, banking relationships, ALM, treasury, or capital structure optimization experience.
• Prior IPO or post-IPO startup experience and experience in global or multinational environments.
• CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification.
