What you will do
- Design advanced digital and mixed-signal electronic platforms for radar payloads and satellite systems, from architecture through manufacturing.
- Define requirements, perform system trades, select components, capture schematics, and design complex electronic assemblies.
- Collaborate with software, firmware, RF, antenna, mechanical, and systems engineers to validate spacecraft electronics.
- Lead prototyping, hardware bring-up, debugging, manufacturing, and test campaigns.
- Iterate designs using laboratory, environmental, and on-orbit test results to improve performance, efficiency, stability, and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, risk-reduction planning, and mentorship of early-career engineers.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience designing, bringing up, and testing electronics across the hardware lifecycle.
- Experience with high-speed board design, PCB layout constraints, signal and power integrity, EMC requirements, and EMI mitigation.
- Hands-on experience with compute platforms, storage, high-speed interfaces, and RF components.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and CAD tools such as Altium Designer; experience with Allegro or OrCAD is beneficial.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR regulations.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in consumer electronics, power electronics, communications, automotive, aerospace, or robotics.
- Knowledge of RF fundamentals, EM and thermal simulation, and tools such as LTspice, ADS, or Microwave Office.
- Experience with MATLAB or Python and test equipment including oscilloscopes and network analyzers.
