PCB Design Engineer (AI Hardware)

Location: Hybrid in New York City, Silicon Valley, Copenhagen, or London

Salary: $200,000–$400,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end PCB development cycle, including research, schematic design, layout, simulation, fabrication, and evaluation.
• Design and manufacture custom PCBs for CIM chips and expansion formats such as PCIe.
• Lead silicon and PCB bring-up, post-silicon correlation, validation, root-cause analysis, and debugging.
• Work with analog, digital, and ML engineers to improve system-level power, performance, and area.
• Evaluate boards and chips in a lab environment, including microscope-assisted soldering.
• Automate design flows and data post-processing with scripting.

Requirements

• Experience owning multiple PCBs through design, simulation, fabrication, and bring-up.
• Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium, Allegro, OrCAD, or Xpedition.
• Experience designing boards with FPGAs, high-speed memory, flash memory, and high-speed connectors including 100G Ethernet.
• Experience leading fabrication and bring-up of custom PCBs for custom CIM chips.
• Comfort working at a laboratory bench and performing microscope-assisted soldering.
• Experience with Python, Perl, or similar scripting languages for design-flow automation and data processing.
