What you will do

• Own and evolve the Kubernetes platform across multiple clusters using Helm, Kyverno, and Argo CD.
• Drive technical designs for platform initiatives, from scoping and trade-off assessment to production rollout.
• Harden platform security via OIDC workload identity, runtime security, and secrets management.
• Develop custom Kubernetes operators and internal tooling using Go and Python.
• Maintain and improve the observability stack featuring Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, and OpenSearch.
• Optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines and manage AWS infrastructure (EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3).

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience, with 3+ years in infrastructure, platform, or SRE.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Kubernetes cluster operations and workload management.
• Proven experience in Helm chart authoring and GitOps workflows (Argo CD or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of AWS (EKS and supporting services) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Proficiency in Go or Python for developing custom operators.
• Must be based in Germany to qualify for remote work.
• Strong English communication skills for technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubebuilder for operator development.
• Knowledge of progressive delivery tools like Kargo or Argo Rollouts.
• Experience with policy-as-code (Kyverno, OPA) or runtime security (Falco).
• Familiarity with observability tooling and GitLab CI.
• German language skills for customer interactions.
