Engineering Manager, AI

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid with office attendance 2–3 times per week

Salary: $232,000–$280,000 base pay per year, plus stock options and an annual performance bonus

hirify.global is building an AI-powered financial companion for Latinos in the US, combining conversational interfaces with real-time financial infrastructure for remittances and broader immigrant financial services.

What you will do

• Manage squad performance, set goals, track progress, and provide direct mentorship.
• Translate AI requirements into scalable technical architectures and guide high-level technical decisions.
• Partner with Product to define, prioritize, and execute the technical roadmap.
• Build engineering tools and tracking for usability, conversion funnels, retention, F1, and other metrics.
• Lead 1:1s, career development, motivation, and broader people-management initiatives.
• Optimize development processes, support AI-assisted coding, and create technical documentation for long-term squad success.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing direct reports in a fast-paced technology environment.
• 10+ years of software engineering and AI agent experience.
• Strong delivery orientation with experience coordinating teams and stakeholders to achieve business results.
• Advanced ability in system design, technical problem-solving, architecture planning, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco office 2–3 times per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google ADK, Langfuse, OpenAI APIs, or Gemini APIs.
• Experience with Python, Flask or FastAPI, REST APIs, Redis, and SQL.
• Experience with Google Cloud services, Kubernetes, Terraform, or New Relic.
