Embedded Engineering Manager, Home Networking

What you will do

• Lead the development, integration, and delivery of next-generation residential gateways and consumer networking products.
• Architect, maintain, and improve embedded software platforms with a focus on performance, reliability, and security.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, priorities, and full lifecycle delivery across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with hardware, product, program management, and other cross-functional teams.
• Define the strategic direction of consumer networking projects with senior leadership.
• Hire, mentor, evaluate, and develop engineering team members while fostering productivity and collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience and 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• Proficiency in embedded software development with C/C++ and a strong understanding of coding best practices.
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture, network protocols, and related algorithms.
• Hands-on experience developing networking products such as access points, routers, and switches.
• Experience leading complex software solutions from design through production and bringing consumer networking products to market.

Nice to have

• Experience with the PRPL platform, its architectures, and ecosystems.
• Experience with large-scale embedded systems deployments in networking or telecommunications.
• Experience hiring and building a new software development team.
• Experience developing products with Wi-Fi 6/7 chipsets.
