Solutions Engineer – Process Control

Location: London, England; hybrid work with regular travel to deployment sites, approximately one week per month

What you will do

• Deploy and integrate hirify.global’s AI systems into live cement and industrial plants within existing process control frameworks.
• Work with plant and process teams to identify optimisation opportunities, tune control loops, and validate performance improvements.
• Analyse plant data and develop control strategies using APC, MPC, and PID principles.
• Build trust with process engineers and operators by explaining technical decisions and demonstrating measurable benefits.
• Collaborate with machine learning and product teams to refine algorithms, recommendations, deployment playbooks, and rollout templates.
• Travel to sites for commissioning, testing, and optimisation activities, approximately 25% of the time.

Requirements

• Strong background in process or control engineering, ideally in cement, chemicals, energy, or heavy manufacturing.
• Experience with advanced process control and optimisation projects involving APC, MPC, or PID systems.
• Familiarity with industrial automation systems such as DCS, PLC, OPC, and historian systems.
• Ability to diagnose process instabilities and propose practical, actionable solutions.
• Comfort collaborating with operators, engineers, and data scientists across technical, operational, and business interfaces.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel regularly to deployment sites.

• Understanding of AI/ML applications in process control, including forecasting, optimisation, or anomaly detection.
