Electrical Engineer (Robotics)

hirify.global develops commercially scalable and safe hirify.global robots, including the HMND-01 Alpha platform used in industrial pilots.

What you will do

• Design and validate power distribution boards and power architectures for embedded and robotic systems.
• Develop sensor and interface electronics for cameras, encoders, MCUs, and other sensing or compute hardware.
• Design PCBAs and wiring harnesses in Altium, including connectors for cross-subsystem interfaces.
• Select and integrate regulators, battery management systems, and PoE injectors within weight, size, and thermal constraints.
• Prototype, bring up, debug, and validate electronics alongside firmware engineers using standard bench equipment.
• Own the electrical BOM and support safety, EMI, DFM, and DFA considerations as designs move toward scaled production.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field, with 4+ years of experience across power and sensor/interface electronics.
• Experience with regulators, battery management systems, Power-over-Ethernet, and power distribution board design.
• Proficiency in Altium for schematic capture and PCBA layout, plus experience with low-voltage DC distribution and connector/harness design.
• Understanding of SPI, MIPI, I2C, CAN, EtherCAT, and Ethernet interfaces.
• Ability to prototype electronics rapidly and bring up and debug PCBAs.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on hardware engineering environment.

Nice to have

• FPGA design experience.
• Experience designing wearable or compact human-worn electronics.
• Thermal management experience for compact, sealed enclosures.
• Exposure to EMC and safety certification processes.
