Senior Prototype Engineer (Humanoid Robotics)

hirify.global develops commercially scalable, safe hirify.global robots, including the HMND-01 Alpha platform used in real industrial pilots.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues in prototype hirify.global robots and perform detailed failure analysis.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on prototype design, assembly, and bring-up.
• Create and maintain test procedures, troubleshooting guides, diagnostics, and repair runbooks.
• Design and iterate cable assemblies, test jigs, and harnesses for dynamic robotic platforms.
• Drive process and product improvements that reduce downtime and improve testing and repair efficiency.
• Build feedback loops across design, build, and test to improve first-pass yield and manufacturability.

Requirements

• Experience with rapid physical prototyping, custom hardware debugging, and complex electrical systems in robotics or a similar field.
• Working knowledge of low-voltage and mixed-signal circuits, connectors, sensors, and compact electromechanical systems.
• Experience documenting procedures, test plans, diagnostics, and lessons learned.
• Ability to collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines to resolve ambiguous issues.
• Comfort working in a high-velocity startup environment with changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience designing for manufacturability and reliability in human-sized or mobile robotics.
• Familiarity with automated test and diagnostic tools used in hardware laboratories.
• Prior mentoring or technical leadership experience in a prototyping or field engineering team.
