Applied Data Scientist (AI)

Location: On-site at the New York City office; applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals or U.S. lawful permanent residents.

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Build, evaluate, and deploy machine learning and artificial intelligence models in production.
• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Optimize data workflows and ensure the reliability and scalability of data infrastructure.
• Process unstructured data and high-volume real-time sensor data.
• Collaborate with engineering, research, design, product, and operations stakeholders.
• Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience deploying machine learning and artificial intelligence models in production.
• Production experience with data engineering, ETL development, and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Apache Spark or Flink.
• Strong understanding of databases, data warehousing, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Extensive SQL experience with large datasets and ETL workflow design.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Luigi.
