Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work with office presence.

Salary: $225,000–$250,000 base salary per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and deploy machine learning models powering analytics and intelligence features.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis on large-scale claims datasets to identify patterns and anomalies.
• Collaborate with engineering to integrate models and data products into production systems.
• Monitor model performance and iterate based on results.
• Communicate findings to product, engineering, and customer-facing stakeholders.
• Contribute to data pipeline and warehouse development as needed.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science or applied machine learning.
• Track record of taking models from development to production in a real product environment.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with solid foundations in statistics, probability, and machine learning.
• Hands-on experience with scikit-learn, XGBoost, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and data pipeline tooling such as sqlMesh or Temporal.
• Experience with MLOps, including experiment tracking, orchestration, and model monitoring.

Nice to have

• Exposure to EHR or RCM data.
• Familiarity with anomaly detection methods or recommendation systems.
