Senior Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, United States

Salary: $145,000–$190,000 estimated base salary per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, flexible data architecture using Metaflow and Spark.
• Build and maintain data collection systems, distributed pipelines, data products, and management tools.
• Develop data solutions for model training and production monitoring in collaboration with researchers and stakeholders.
• Own data engineering projects from design and development through maintenance and documentation.
• Implement data validation, monitoring, access controls, and other measures for data quality, integrity, and security.
• Evaluate data technologies and improve the performance, reliability, and stability of data infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Expertise designing and developing distributed data pipelines for large-scale datasets.
• Experience designing, productionizing, maintaining, and documenting reliable and scalable data infrastructure and products.
• Hands-on experience with big data processing and analytics on AWS, including Amazon EMR and AWS Batch.
• Experience with Spark, Metaflow, SQL, NoSQL databases, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with databases such as DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and PostgreSQL.
