Technical Operations Engineer

Location: On-site in Austin, Texas, United States; domestic and international travel required to support mission events.

What you will do

• Serve as an on-site product subject matter expert during CONUS and OCONUS events.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues with minimal support.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, isolate, and resolve system problems.
• Support hardline and mesh networking environments.
• Perform mechanical and system-level repairs and modifications.
• Use Linux CLI tools for log access, configuration updates, and system modifications while maintaining mission readiness.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical operations, field engineering, robotics, or mechatronics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Working knowledge of wired and mesh networking concepts.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude from robotics, construction, hobby mechanics, or similar practical experience.
• Basic Linux proficiency, including CLI navigation, log analysis, and configuration updates.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; ability to work independently and travel domestically and internationally.
