Engineering Manager (Authentication & Authorization)

What you will do

• Lead and develop an interdisciplinary engineering team focused on authentication, authorization, member management, and white-labeling.
• Contribute up to 40–50% hands-on at the start, gradually transitioning toward a leadership-focused role.
• Architect scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions for the hirify.global platform.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, engineers, and non-technical stakeholders to define roadmaps and deliver features.
• Guide technical decisions, release planning, automation, and operational excellence.
• Set quarterly team OKRs, support continuous improvement, and mentor engineers through feedback and career development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• 2+ years of leadership or engineering management experience.
• Strong background in distributed, testable, and maintainable backend systems.
• Professional experience with authentication and authorization, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and microservices.
• Experience leading teams, mentoring engineers, and establishing engineering best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive projects from concept to completion.

• Experience with security-related infrastructure or third-party vendors.
