Salary: $168,700–$198,800 USD annually for roles hired in California

What you will do

  • Lead manufacturing operations across production, assembly, testing, material flow, and daily execution.
  • Optimize production lines for takt time, labor efficiency, throughput, yield, schedule adherence, and cost.
  • Scale repeatable manufacturing processes and lead factory readiness for new product introduction, including layout, tooling, equipment, and staffing.
  • Build, mentor, train, and develop supervisors, leads, and operators while maintaining a safety-first culture.
  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, process documentation, standardization, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design Engineering on material readiness, supplier quality, manufacturability, and production scale-up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or an equivalent field.
  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in hardware manufacturing, including 4+ years leading teams.
  • Experience scaling production in fast-paced, engineering-driven environments.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving methods.
  • Experience with work order systems, MES, ERP, and real-time production reporting tools.
  • Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, EVs, robotics, or complex electromechanical hardware.
  • Background in automation, robotics integration, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience improving manufacturability through tooling, fixtures, or process optimization.
  • Strong data skills and experience using KPIs to guide decisions.
  • Experience scaling teams from prototype operations to full-rate production.
