What you will do
- Develop robust manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, assembly equipment, and automation for complex hardware products.
- Lead manufacturing readiness through DVT, PVT, initial production ramp, and high-volume manufacturing.
- Apply DFM and DFA principles to improve manufacturability, quality, cost, yield, throughput, and cycle time.
- Use manufacturing data, SPC, Cpk, DOE, tolerance analysis, and root-cause methods to solve technical problems.
- Collaborate with Product Design, Test Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and suppliers on product launches.
- Independently drive complex manufacturing projects from concept through production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience developing and scaling manufacturing processes for complex electromechanical products.
- Proven experience leading DFM/DFA initiatives and production design changes.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing tooling, fixtures, assembly equipment, and production automation.
- Strong expertise in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, process capability, and root-cause problem solving.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or equivalent.
Nice to have
- Experience with drones, robotics, aerospace, or other mission-critical hardware.
- Experience with factory automation, machine vision, industrial robotics, and custom manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA.
