Hands-on Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Develop and improve manufacturing and assembly processes for advanced engineering products.
• Support proof-of-concept activities, rapid technology development, New Product Introduction, and manufacturing scale-up.
• Lead process development from early concepts through production readiness while transitioning novel technologies into production.
• Design, build, and commission manufacturing tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
• Create manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and control plans.
• Assess process risks, analyse performance, improve processes, and train manufacturing personnel.

Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing, process, production, or mechanical engineering.
• Strong hands-on engineering skills in mechanical assembly, tooling, machining, or prototype development.
• Experience developing, improving, or implementing manufacturing processes.
• Experience designing, building, or commissioning manufacturing tooling or fixtures.
• Excellent practical problem-solving skills, independence, ownership, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
• Successful applicants must complete right-to-work, identity, and reference checks for the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, motorsport, Formula 1, advanced manufacturing, or industrial R&D.
• Exposure to automated manufacturing systems, robotics, or PLC-controlled equipment.
• Experience with machinery commissioning, process validation, or manufacturing scale-up.
• Knowledge of quality control, process capability, continuous improvement, and manufacturing documentation.
