Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering

What you will do

• Design, procure, implement, and validate advanced automation systems and capital equipment.
• Lead the development and introduction of scalable equipment for production expansion, new products, and capacity increases.
• Create equipment specifications, electrical drawings, implementation plans, work instructions, routings, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, product flow, quality, first-pass yield, cost, and lead time.
• Establish and deploy globally standardized equipment platforms across manufacturing sites.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, production, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues, bottlenecks, and equipment-performance challenges.

Requirements

• Background in mechanical engineering, equipment design, mechanical components, or automation mechanisms.
• Experience with robotics integration, including robot programming and safety systems.
• Experience with vision systems, image processing, and camera-based inspection technology.
• Expertise in safety system design, risk assessment, functional safety, and safety-controller programming.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and control-panel design, including wiring diagrams, sensors, actuators, and power distribution.
• Strong project management, root-cause analysis, scheduling, requirements definition, and cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Mechanical engineer certification or related professional qualification.
• Experience with mechanical reliability tools or statistical process control.
• Knowledge of EtherNet/IP, Modbus, or OPC UA industrial communication protocols.
• Experience with MS SQL databases for historical data storage and analysis.
