Benefits Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own health, dental, vision, 401(k), leave, and wellness programs from administration through compliance.
• Support employees with benefits questions, onboarding, and enrollment processes.
• Manage relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and carriers, including Sequoia, MetLife, Anthem, and Empower.
• Administer multi-state leave programs and ensure compliance across applicable jurisdictions.
• Partner with Finance on audits, 5500 filings, and benefits reporting.
• Lead annual open enrollment and develop wellness initiatives as the company moves toward a self-insured model.

Requirements

• 5+ years of benefits administration experience, preferably in a growing company.
• Hands-on experience with level-funded or self-insured health plans is required.
• Experience administering multi-state leave programs, including FMLA and state-specific leave laws, is required.
• Strong vendor management skills and the ability to hold brokers and carriers accountable.
• Proficiency with Rippling or a similar HRIS platform.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with Empower or another 401(k) administration platform.
• Familiarity with 5500 preparation and filing.
