Software Engineer, Applied AI

Location: Onsite in Washington, DC, five days per week at the hirify.global office

Salary: $165,000–$250,000 annual salary

What you will do

• Design and develop machine learning solutions for complex web applications.
• Build algorithms that understand visual and textual content and user interactions.
• Create classification models for text, images, and video.
• Develop supervised and semi-supervised models that scale to hundreds of millions of sources and content.
• Pre-train and fine-tune large language models and generative AI models.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Professional experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and machine learning algorithm development.
• Knowledge of AWS or similar cloud infrastructure for machine learning applications.
• Knowledge of computer vision, image processing, statistical modeling and inference, data mining, NLP, prompt engineering, graph and geometric deep learning, LLMs, and generative AI.
• Experience operating a vector database and programming in TypeScript and Python.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience as a software architect or in a technical leadership role.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Professional experience in a startup organization.
