SVP of Finance

Location: New York City; onsite five days a week

What you will do

• Lead financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, headcount planning, scenario analysis, budgeting, burn, runway, and SaaS metrics.
• Prepare board and investor reporting and support fundraising, diligence, financial modeling, data rooms, and investor relationships.
• Oversee accounting, monthly close, revenue recognition, billing, collections, treasury, working capital, payroll, and equity operations across multiple entities and currencies.
• Lead the company toward GAAP maturity and a successful first audit.
• Hire, develop, and manage the finance and accounting organization.
• Own finance systems and integrations while driving automation and AI-assisted workflows.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of progressive finance experience, including strategic finance or FP&A leadership in a high-growth SaaS or AI company.
• Experience supporting capital raises end to end and building or professionalizing a finance function.
• Strong command of FP&A and accounting operations, including close, controls, billing, and payroll.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606, including accruals and deferred revenue.
• Experience with outside accountants, auditors, first-audit preparation, multi-entity operations, multi-currency environments, and SaaS contract structures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to executives, the board, and investors.
