TL;DR
Supplier Development Specialist (Aerospace): Coordinating supplier development activities, site visits, corrective actions, onboarding, and readiness programs for electric aviation manufacturing with an accent on supplier metrics, quality systems, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on tracking supplier engagements, maintaining action registers and dashboards, and supporting conformity and production rate readiness across Engineering, Quality, and Procurement.

Location: South Burlington, Vermont, United States; around 50% travel to supplier sites required

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Coordinate supplier site visits, development activities, meetings, and cross-functional support for Supplier Development Engineers.
  • Track supplier action items, corrective actions, onboarding progress, and closure status.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, status reports, supplier performance data, and readiness metrics.
  • Maintain supplier development registers, dashboards, documentation requests, and supplier portal administration.
  • Support QMS audits, conformity readiness, production rate readiness, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and supplier stakeholders to improve supplier performance.

Requirements

  • Two- or four-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Two to three years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or quality operations.
  • Experience in a manufacturing company, preferably one certified to ISO 9001 or SAE AS9100.
  • Experience with data analysis, metrics tracking, dashboard creation, action item registers, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and an online ERP system such as Plex or SAP.
  • Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing or supplier quality environments.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, supplier audits, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and supplier development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of production rate readiness, capacity planning, and project management tools.
  • APICS, ISM, supply chain, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
