What you will do
- Lead logistics strategy, cost optimization, service improvement, and operational scalability initiatives across Japan.
- Manage transportation, warehousing, distribution networks, inventory accuracy, and warehouse audits.
- Lead logistics projects including product launches, warehouse transitions, transportation tenders, network changes, and process redesign.
- Manage international transportation from manufacturing sites to Japan and coordinate shipment schedules, documentation, and product availability.
- Lead import customs clearance and ensure compliance with applicable Japanese regulations.
- Build strategic relationships with warehouses, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics providers while monitoring KPI performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics management, including 3PL management, import/export operations, inventory control, and process improvement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Experience leading logistics projects such as warehouse relocation, forwarder transitions, WMS implementation, transportation tenders, or network optimization.
- Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is preferred, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously.
