Data Operations Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

Salary: $55,000 – $120,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Reconcile financial and transactional data from multiple sources for accurate sales tax filings.
• Normalize customer data across platforms like Stripe and Shopify to ensure workflow integrity.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve onboarding data issues.
• Build internal tooling and processes to streamline reconciliation and improve throughput.
• Improve the fidelity and performance of DBT pipelines and evolve data architecture.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical skills for working with large, multi-source datasets.
• Experience reconciling financial or transactional data in e-commerce or payments environments.
• Startup mindset with the ability to operate autonomously in fast-moving environments.
• Must have the right to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with DBT or similar ETL frameworks.
• Familiarity with Stripe, Shopify, Fivetran, Parquet, S3, or DuckDB.
• Comfort navigating REST APIs and using Python for data transformation.
• Background in operations, finance, or technical customer success.
