Data Analyst / Senior Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site. Relocation assistance is available for candidates who would like to move to the office.

Salary: $130,000–$200,000 annual starting salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Analyze operational, product, and financial data across applications, accounts, transactions, fraud, risk, rewards, and partner operations.
• Build dashboards, reporting frameworks, and monitoring tools for system and business performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and risk and compliance teams on features, workflows, and policies.
• Evaluate and optimize processes across onboarding, transactions, servicing, fraud, rewards, and the broader customer lifecycle.
• Investigate anomalies, system issues, and partner escalations, identify root causes, and drive remediation.
• Support forecasting, business reviews, strategic planning, data quality, and analytical documentation.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in an analytical, operations, strategy, or data-focused role.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, Excel or Sheets, and Python.
• Experience using AI tools professionally, including prompt design, model evaluation, data preparation, or workflow optimization.
• Experience working with large datasets and building reliable dashboards and reporting using Looker, Tableau, Omni, Mode, or similar tools.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems, communicate complex analysis clearly, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive projects end-to-end.
• Curiosity, attention to detail, and a focus on well-structured analytical systems and business processes.

Nice to have

• Experience building or deploying internal AI tools, automations, or agents.
• Familiarity with financial systems, reconciliation workflows, or data integrity challenges.
• Experience in fintech, credit or financial systems, fraud, risk, or customer lifecycle analytics.
