Analytics Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the U.S. (Bay Area-based employees follow a hybrid schedule).

Salary: $127,000 – $190,000 + Equity.

What you will do

• Architect and own the Operations Intelligence Warehouse using BigQuery and Metabase.
• Define and instrument operational metrics such as cycle time, first-pass yield, and cost-to-serve.
• Lead variance analysis and statistical process control to inform leadership decisions.
• Re-architect data models in dbt, establishing source-of-truth definitions and schema standards.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to connect operational data to financial and GTM outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis or analytics engineering at a B2B SaaS or fintech company.
• Expert-level SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt and modern data warehouses (BigQuery preferred).
• Proven track record of leading warehouse re-architecture and data cleanup projects.
• Strong commitment to data quality, testing frameworks, and git-based workflows.
• Ability to translate ambiguous operational questions into structured, measurable analyses.
• Must be based in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python for analysis and pipeline work.
• Experience with statistical process control, Six Sigma, or industrial engineering.
• Background in instrumenting AI agent telemetry or supporting LLM evaluation programs.
• Experience with low-code development tools.
