Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to New York City or San Francisco (Hybrid)

Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze trade-offs between transaction costs and success rates across ACH and card rails.
• Investigate payment failure patterns and drive remediations with Engineering and Product teams.
• Evaluate payment routing and collection strategies to size the impact of new configurations.
• Collaborate with Data Science to support the deployment and evaluation of predictive models.
• Build monitoring dashboards to track model performance and surface anomalies.
• Translate complex model outputs into business-legible insights for leadership.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in payments analytics, operations, or a related fintech/banking role.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience writing complex queries from scratch.
• Strong working knowledge of ACH, card networks, and payment processing mechanics.
• Experience partnering with or supporting Data Science teams.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States (E-Verify used).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NACHA return rate requirements.
• Knowledge of AML or other fintech compliance standards.
