Senior Software Engineer (Test Automation)

What you will do

• Develop and execute system test plans for distributed system components, including scheduling, memory, I/O paths, and platform services.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases and contribute to automation frameworks using Python and Pytest.
• Validate functionality, data consistency, multi-tenant behavior, performance, scalability, throughput, latency, and stability.
• Analyze logs, metrics, and monitoring data to identify issues and support defect debugging and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to validate features, reproduce issues, and verify fixes.
• Document test cases, results, defects, coverage, validation reports, and automation workflows while improving QA processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with strong Python proficiency for test automation.
• Experience developing comprehensive automation suites for complex systems and using frameworks such as Pytest, Unittest, or Robot Framework.
• Understanding of testing challenges in distributed storage, data platforms, storage engines, scheduling systems, or backend infrastructure.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Advanced Linux skills, including networking, filesystems, and block storage.
• Familiarity with containerized testing environments and Docker.

Nice to have

• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Knowledge of REST or GraphQL API testing tools and methodologies.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent knowledge.
