Staff Software Engineer (iOS)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, Dogpatch

Salary: $200,000–$400,000 per year, plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Own the technical direction, architecture, implementation, and evolution of native iOS and Android SDKs.
• Build SDK infrastructure that embeds hirify.global voice and chat agents into customer mobile applications.
• Integrate native capabilities including voice routing, background execution, notifications, and app extensions.
• Set a high standard for motion, gesture handling, accessibility, performance, and offline resilience.
• Write production code, ship mobile infrastructure, and collaborate with design and web frontend engineers on future mobile experiences.

Requirements

• 8+ years of native iOS engineering experience with Swift, including shipping complex applications or SDKs at scale.
• Strong expertise in SDK and API design, with empathy for external developers integrating the platform.
• Ability to turn ambiguous product requirements into fluid, responsive mobile experiences independently.
• Deep understanding of iOS capabilities such as voice routing, background execution, and app extensions.
• Hands-on senior-level engineering approach, with willingness to work across the stack using technologies such as GraphQL and Go when needed.
• Mobile stack: Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android; related stack includes Python, Django/FastAPI, TypeScript, Node, Next.js, AWS, Modal, Kubernetes, and Postgres.
