Software Engineer (iOS)

Location: Hybrid in New York City or San Francisco, United States

Salary: $160,000–$240,000 annually plus equity

What you will do

• Architect and ship the first iOS app from private beta through App Store release.
• Build core features with fluid UI, high performance, scalable client infrastructure, and polished animations.
• Collaborate with founders, product, and design on prototypes and product direction.
• Develop unit testing and CI/CD pipelines to maintain reliability while shipping quickly.
• Implement real-time syncing, efficient data flows, and on-device ML integrations.
• Iterate on intuitive mobile experiences that make AI useful for users.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on iOS development experience with Swift, UIKit or SwiftUI, Combine, and concurrency.
• At least one iOS app shipped to the App Store and improved using real-user feedback.
• Experience with modular design, unit testing, profiling, performance tuning, and advanced debugging.
• Strong product sense, design sensibility, attention to detail, and collaboration with UI/UX designers.
• Clear communication and the ability to work resourcefully in a fast-moving environment.
• Expertise using AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex while maintaining code quality and structure.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating ML models on-device or in-app.
• Experience building dual-platform products across iOS and Android or iOS and web.
• Experience leading iOS architecture and performance improvements.
