Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote from Mexico, including Cabo San Lucas, Cancún, Guadalajara, Mexico City, and Monterrey.

Salary: MX$950,000–MX$1,385,000 annual compensation, plus equity.

What you will do

• Architect and break down ambiguous product problems into scoped tasks for agents and ship full-stack features from design through production release.
• Design and operate complex agent orchestration systems that deliver production product features.
• Design clean, durable APIs and data models.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to identify specification gaps, surface edge cases, and improve product readiness.
• Set quality standards through code reviews, test coverage, maintainable code, and production debugging.
• Share effective AI-assisted engineering patterns and help improve the team’s development practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional development experience with Java and/or JavaScript and a track record of shipping production systems.
• Strong backend fundamentals, including API design, data modeling, SQL, service reliability, and production debugging.
• Daily production use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or equivalent.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated code for logic errors, security issues, maintainability, and production readiness.
• Strong system design, communication, technical judgment, and constructive collaboration skills.
• Interest in Elixir or functional programming languages.

Nice to have

• Experience building B2B SaaS products with complex multi-tenant data models or transactional workflows.
• Experience on small, high-output teams with independent architectural decision-making.
• Frontend experience with Angular or modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience in the travel, hospitality, or experiences industry.
