Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; hybrid work with in-office collaboration required Monday–Wednesday

What you will do

• Design and build full-stack features for Alfie, hirify.global’s conversational AI assistant, with primary ownership of frontend and UX.
• Shape LLM and agentic product behavior through prompt design, tool and function calling, multi-step reasoning, and evaluation.
• Prototype new conversational and generative UI interaction patterns as models and agent capabilities evolve.
• Build and maintain React/TypeScript frontend components and backend contracts and APIs supporting agentic workflows.
• Troubleshoot frontend and backend production issues, including incorrect model output, latency, and dropped tool calls.
• Contribute to technical, design, and code reviews while mentoring junior engineers and promoting maintainable code.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience, with demonstrated strength in frontend and UX.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building LLM-powered or agentic products.
• Experience building conversational interfaces, copilots, assistants, or other AI-powered products, including dynamic UI techniques.
• Strong knowledge of LLM design patterns, prompt engineering, and observability for agentic systems.
• Strong command of React and TypeScript, plus experience integrating frontends with backend services, APIs, and real-time or streaming data.
• Comfort working across frontend, backend, and infrastructure; experience beyond standard CRUD applications and dashboards.
